Marinduque: The HEART of the Philippines

This year my birthday falls on a National Holiday! I should be glad right? But Ooops… that holiday is Holy Thursday! Oh no!!! The season where Christians celebrate the passion of Christ. The only time of the year in the Philippines where traffic is sleeping and bearable, malls are closed and the people, either stays at home or praying in churches (visita iglesia as they call it). Some usually goes out of town or country “Beaching!” … hahaha… damn… those sons of the Beach!

Sagada: A Place For Broken Hearts

Sagada is located in Mountain Province, still in the Cordillera Region of Northern Luzon. This place is widely popular because of its Mystic tourist attractions such as Cave Spelunking, Hanging Coffins, Cold and breezy weather, Grand Mountain landscape and Coffee! A bit laid back, the area can be one’s source of quiet “Me” time.

Banaue: Simple yet Spectacular

image Banaue is located in Ifugao, another province in northern Luzon. It houses the majestically spectacular man-made Rice Terraces Or the Hagdan Hagdang Palayan in tagalog. It is often called by Filipinos as the 8th wonder of the World. This place is also included in the Unesco World Heritage Site.

Baguio: The City of Pines

Baguio is located in Benguet, a province in the Cordillera region of northern Luzon. Often tagged as the summer capital of the Philippines, probably because of its mountainous location. The city itself has an average of 20 and below deg. Celsius in temperature. Btw, the Philippines is a tropical country, so any temperature below 20 is considered cold! Puerto Galera

Puerto Galera : The Little Boracay of Luzon

Puerto Galera is located in Oriental Mindoro, probably one of the few white sand beaches near Metro Manila.

This beach is popular among friends and lovers since it’s easily accessible. The area is considered as the mini Boracay, since it’s relatively similar to the latter. White Beach also has its own line of restaurants, several bars and a few fire dancers to keep you accompanied at night. We went here for an overnight stay.
